OUR MISSION

CHAMP’s mission is to create a culture of change for at-risk youth by developing relationships between families and community through the promotion of education, positive social interactions and character development.

OUR APPROACH

CHAMP’s eclectic approach consists of creative arts, health awareness and clinical approach counseling. CHAMP understands that in order for youth to succeed, parents and caregivers must be present. Often experiencing poor academic performance, behavior problems, dropping out of school, youth and families are led to us for guidance and family support.

PROGRAMS & SERVICES

CHAMP has carefully designed and implemented various programs and activities to benefit the youth and families.

 

Champ One-On-One Mentoring 

Mentors engage youth twice monthly in recreational, social and community activities

 

Champ’s Corner After School Program 

Mentoring, academic support and age appropriate recreational activities. Currently at Jettie S. Tisdale Elementary and Dunbar Elementary Schools of Bridgeport, CT 

 

The Truth Experience 

Mentoring and support program for youth ages 9-18 being raised by grandparents and guardians other than their biological parents.

 

Boy’s & Girl’s Reality Empowerment Circles 

Gender specific mentoring group program that supports the social and emotional development

 

EPSG (Emotional Parent Support Group)

Support group for parents of the youth enrolled in the, CHAMP Inc. programs
